Blog post

Acceleration. Blog post. March.

Duncan loves to swim, it's a way for him to get away from everyone. One day he was at the beach way far out there so no one could reach him. He hears screams and looks over and sees a little girl a few feet away drowning. He tries to reach her but  it's too late no one was close enough but him. Duncan has a job working in the subways Lost and Found. He finds a journal. The journal contains some awful things about random people and attacks. Things like killing cats and setting fires, and specific details about women. Duncan tries to find the person who wrote it, but he can't stop reading it. Will Duncan find this cereal killer? What's the killers next move going to be?

I didn't like the ending of the book because it all went by to fast and it wasn't really thrilling. The author should added more detail when explaining the house. I had a hard time visualizing the scene.

I would recommend this book to readers looking for a good book with a lot of feeling. Readers will not only experience a good book but, will realize helping others is the way to go. I think Duncan did the right thing by following him but i think he should have just called to police.

The Notebook By- Nicholas Sparks

This book that i'm reading called "The Notebook." It's about a girl named Allie and a guy named Noah. When they first met they fall for each other. But when the summer ended Allie had to leave. 17 years later Allie comes to visit Noah to tell him that she is engaged to a lawyer named Lon. If i have to choose a song for the back ground i would choose a song called "where are you my love" by "khu Hser." Because this song have a really touching lyrics that is very similar to this story. And i think you should read this book because it is a very good book. You will only like this book if you are the type of person who like romantic story.

Night  shade; Andrea Cremer.                              .

The book I read  is called Night Shade and is written by Andrea Cremer. Its a series and I'm reading the first book. It says on the cover that its a New York times best seller.

It's a really good book about a girl, Calla, who is also a wolf. While on patrol, Calla comes across a human boy being attacked by a bear. In her wolf form, Calla saves the boy. Being the alpha of the pack Calla is not supposed to show her change to humans, but her blood can help to heal the boy without medical help. She thinks that she and the human will never see each other again so she changes form and gives the boy blood. Later she finds out that the boy transferred to her school.  Calla is scheduled to marry the alpha of another pack, but she starts to fall for the boy who she saved.

I suggest you read this book if you like fantasy, thriller or romance. I enjoyed reading it and can't wait to read the next book to the series.

The book I am choosing to write about is The Hunger Games. written by Suzanne Collins.
Katniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister's place in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to compete. In this book, katniss Evedreen and another opponent is chosen from district 11 to compete in the games. In the stadium, teens compete for survival by killing each other, finding a safe place to live, and creating alliances to ensure safety. However, only one person can win. In the book, Katniss faces problems right from the beginning. Dehydrated, Katniss must find water to begin the games. Finding water, Katniss can now begin her adventure of survival. Using her hunting skills, she is able to survive and get enough food. Not always enough to be full but enough to live. Throughout the book, Katniss faces things she never thought she would have to. Tired, weak  and barley alive, she finds her friend from district 11 clinging to life. now, she not only has to save herself, but get Peeta back to life and well enough to compete.

Katniss could fit into real life. She has many life skills, is fairly social  and is a strong person. She stands up for what she believes for and always puts in full effort.

How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World-Jordan Christy

Becoming a classy young lady in today's society can be very difficult. With true fashion slowly dissolving over time, it's hard to stay graceful and elegant with all these's poor style choices surrounding us. Jordan Christy demonstrates good qualities that any adolescent girl should have. She includes quotes from many respectable woman such as Cindy Crawford, Audrey Hepburn, Eleanor Roosevelt and even Jane Austen. For every chapter there is a new quote to start off the next topic and for one topic Christy shows us a quote from Audrey Hepburn stating "Let's face it, a nice creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people; it does for me." Christy uses this as an example that curves use to be desirable back in the 'Hepburn' days where girls didn't diet every single month and feel bad if they couldn't fit into a size 0 in jeans. Being perfect isn't the goal of this book, it's being chic without the grammar or style of   Paris Hilton and still staying true to yourself.
I personally think if you're a girl or maybe even a guy that's into books that talk a lot about living classy and modest then this is the book for you! This book shows life experiences about the 80s bold colors and un-lady like manners. It's an education to a Vogue life!

Cahills vs vespers

Cahills vs Vespers: The Medusa Plot
Gordon Korman
The Medusa plot is about Amy and Dan Cahill. Some of the Cahill family is captured by vesper one. So Amy and Dan get a phone from Vesper one. Every time Amy and Dan get a text they have to do it or one of  their family members will die.
My reaction to this book is the characters because Amy and Dan are doing stuff so that their family members do not die.
One question I have is why did vesper one capture some of the Cahill family?
You should read this because it is awesome, epic and, interesting.

It's a new school year, and Greg Heffley finds himself thrust

into middle school, where undersized weaklings share the

hallways with kids who are taller, meaner, and already

shaving. The hazards of growing up before you're ready are

uniquely revealed through words and drawings as Greg

records them in his diary.

Cirque Du Freak- Hunters of the Dusk

The book that I read was Cirque Du Freak Hunters of the Dusk. This is the seventh book in the Cirque Du Freak series and  it was written by Darren Shan. The main characters name also happens to be the Authors name which is Darren Shan. In this book the vampire prince Darren Shan is once again visited by Desmond Tiny who is thought to have created vampires and little people. Desmond Tiny explains that the vampaneze prince has come and that the three hunters who are Mr.Crepsly, Darren Shan and the third they will find on the way must defeat him. They are told they will cross paths with the vampaneze lord four times and they will have chances to kill him at those times. They leave on their journey and consult Lady Evanna who has the ability to see into the future, but not as clearly as Mr.Tiny. On their journey they meet Vancha March a fiery vampire prince who fights with his bare hands and thinks the sun can be defeated. As they reach Lady Evanna's house they stay for a few days discussing plans. After they leave with Lady Evanna and they follow Darren's gut feeling and return to the Cirque Du Freak. Darren notices something was weird and finds out Evanna has been meeting with a group of vampaneze and he consults the others and they attack. One vampaneze escapes and a servant to the vampaneze. The vampaneze who escaped was Vancha's brother Gannen Harst. I would recommend this series to anybody who enjoys reading action packed novels and enjoys longer series. This is book recommended for teens as the fighting can be gruesome and comes in great detail.

I think Darren Shan could fit into real life because the book is set in real life. Also he is good at acting normal and vampires have been in hiding from humans for millenniums. Also Darren is a half-vampire so he can still go in daylight and blend in with normal day society. The only problem Darren could have is that since he is still underage and not attending school the school board could bring attention to him. The other characters in my book I feel could not fit in as well because they have certain traits about them that make them out of the ordinary. Such as the fact that Mr. Crepsley likes to sleep in coffins and does not go out in the day. Also that Vancha only wears animal skins and is constantly full bodied sun burned. Darren Shan changes from the beginning of the novel by becoming more vampiric adopting their traditions and learning their culture. Darren shows this change by becoming more feral and following his instincts.

The thing I learned from this novel is to expect the unexpected and you cant judge someone just off of their appearance.

Cirque Du Freak- Vampire Mountain

\
The book I read was Cirque Du Freak Vampire Mountain. This book was written by Darren Shan and it is the fourth in the Cirque Du Freak series. The main character shares the same name as the author and he is a half vampire and it had been 8 years since he had been blooded (turned into a vampire). Every 12 years a vampire meeting is called and all vampires have to report to a place called vampire mountain home to the vampire princes. Along the way they meet an old friend of Mr.Crepsley whose name is Gavner Purl who accompanies them the rest of the way. During the journey Darren runs into a bear that has been blooded by the vampaneze. The vampaneze are a sect that broke off from the vampires as they killed people who they drank from while the vampires did not. With help from two little people sent by Desmond Tiny and a pack of wolves Darren had befriended and they kill the bear. As they finally reach the mountain Darren meets a soon to be prince named Kurda Smahlt. The vampire princes decide that Mr.Crepsley had blooded Darren for no good reason so they put Darren to the test by making him pass the trials of initiation. I recommend this book to anybody who likes actual vampires not the Twilight ones and likes a book full of action and large plot twists. Also I would recommend this book only to people of teen age and older as it can be violent at times of conflict.

The Devouring

The Devouring

The second book i read is The Devouring by Simon Holt. This book was by far my favorite from the two. It is a series of 3 books. Not too many people know of this book or this series but Simon Holt is by far my favorite author. He writes about stories that have never been heard of, he creates different monsters to put in his book, rather then the usual vampire and werewolf.

This book is about a girl named Reggie. Who read a hand writing "diary" of a young women's life facing her brother that was turned into a Vour... (evil monsters that are attracted to light and heat, that feed on your fears and take over your body.) In this book Reggie finds out many strange things start happening to the town, and she decides to find out how she could possibly try to save and help those in trouble. There is a poem on the back of the book describing the Vours in a way.
When dark creeps in and eats the light,
Bury your fears on Sorry Night,
For in the winter's blackest hours,
Comes the feasting of the Vours,
No one can see it, the life they stole,
Your body's here but not your soul...

Reggie goes into peoples nightmares to save them from staying monsters. She goes on adventures
that are creepy. you need to read the book to find out how it all goes down.

This book would interest both girls and boys who enjoy a book that is horror but not to scary.
this series contains books called "The fearscape" and "Soulstice".
These are all Reggie's stories on how she helped every one. If you want to find out more
I suggest you read the books.

Vampire Diaries By Kelly 9-2

The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening and the Struggle

I read a novel from the vampire diaries series written by L. J. Smith. This is the first book in the series. And it was published in 2007. All of the books from this series so far have been listed in the "New york times bestseller." This book series has been made into a TV-show that has been on TV for years now. With well known actors being part of the show.

This book is mainly about a girl Elena who is caught up in a love circle between Damian, and Stefan. She loves them both but has to chose between them. Damian and Stefan are both brothers, and are both vampires that need a ring to keep them from burning in the sun. In the book there is a lot of drama like, Stefan's brother coming back, having Elena want to be like them. And of coarse with all the mysterious killings by the cemetery in the forest, and in the school's gym. There are of coarse much more dramatic and action packed parts of this book, but if i say more it would be a complete spoil.

This book, i think, would be more enjoyed by girls who like reading about cheesy love stories and vampires. This book is full of drama, full of action and romance. If you like the twilight saga series, then you will love this much more!!

Diary of a wimpy kid Dog Days is about Greg Heffley who is in middle school and he is excited for summer that is coming up.
Greg has 2 brothers Rodrick and Manny. Manny is the littest of them all and he never gets introuble and he always blames it on Greg. Rodrick is the oldest brother of them all and he always bugs Greg all the time.
Greg always plays video games all the time but this summer he is going outdoors for the year his dad makes him go camping with a bunch of other people in the scout and they have competition another group that is also there at the camp. Greg spends sometime with his bestfriend name Rowley he goes to there little cabin thats near an amusement park and Rowleys parents think Greg isnt the brightest kid in the world and is a bad example for Rowley.
I recommend this book because its a comedi and if you like laughing this is a great book to read!
The book I read is called cirque du freak The vampires assistant.
Two bestfriends Darren and Steve go to a freak show and Steve was obessed with vampires so he knew every little thing about them. During the show Darren saw one of the preformer named Crepsley. He was preforming with his spider and Darren was interested in his spider so after the show Darren took Crepsley's spider and took it home. Also when steve was watching Crepsley he knew he was a vampire because the book he had there was a bunch of vampires in it and Crepsley was one of them so Steve goes to Crepsley and asks him if he can become a vampire and Crepsley tasted his blood and said there is evil in you. Steve got mad and ran off. The next day Darren brings the spider to school to show Steve then something happends the spider breaks loose and Steve trys to kill it and the spider bit Steve on the neck. On the same day Darren goes back too Crepsley and said something has happend your spider bit my friend and Darren asks if he can help and Crepsley said he will help but Darren would have to become a vampire. Darren became a vampire so Crepsley healed Steve.
Since Darren became a half vampire he would have to fake his death so he did that then Steve noticed something at his funeral that was normal about Darren so he knew he was a vampire and still alive so he hated Darren for taking his spot. After he faked his death Crepsley and Darren ran to the cirque du freaks campus and stayed there Darren had to train and work on being a half vampire.
I would recommend this book because this book doesnt get boring it always be exciting.

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID

DIARY OF A WIMPY KIDBy:CHRIS PROWSE
Diary of a wimpy kid is a graphic novel about a middle aged kid who basicly right about is life in this diary. I did not enjoy this book because it is not very exciting and no real intrest. This book is not good for people who are looking for a thrill book. Although I am  into this book doesn’t mean you will not.
This book is a kid named Gregorys life. In this book it tlks about his life in school and his popularity level and his friends. Greg also talks a lot about his family because they are all not the most normal family.
I do not recommend this book to people looking for a book to hold you on the edge, this book doesn’t use enough description as most books do wich is possibly the reason there are graphics. If you are just looking for a simple relaxing book that’s easy to read this is a good book that is obviously meant for the younger crowd.
