The Iron daughter November 22, 2012

This book is a fantasy, it's the second book of it's series. I really enjoyed it because of the emotion the author put into the writing.   When you reads it it feels like you have seen it before but in a dream. If you like romantic fantasy then this is a really good book for you, it also has war scenes and death. So if you're into that then I recommend this book.

Some thing I really liked was how  dramatically it is all throughout the book. It really keeps the reading level up. A thing I would change would be  when The queen bans her powers. I think it would have been written better if she had her powers.

Flawless by Sara Shepard

Flawless is the second book in a series of twelve and starts off with a brilliant beginning. Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Hannah go to their dead best friend's funeral a year after she'd been missing and all discover they are receiving text messages from the anonymous -A who they are all dying to know. -A could possibly be the killer of Allison Dilaurentis (dead best friend) and is potentially dangerous. This -A threatens them with their deepest darkest secrets, giving them the option of throwing each other under the bus to save themselves or saving your friends but suffering your own consequences. -A specifically tortures them with one of their biggest secrets. One that could send them to jail for a long time. The Jenna thing. It was Allison's idea to throw a small firework into Jenna Cavanaugh's tree house however it was more than a little firework. It ended up blinding Jenna forever. The girls promised to forget about it and never talk about that night again but now that someone was taunting them with it they couldn't help themselves.They had to think about their cruel past and how they did nothing to save Jenna.
 Aria began to go after Hannah's ex boyfriend, Sean who later on finds out about Aria's affair with her English teacher. He ends up calling the police and informing them everything. Hannah begins to hate Aria for stealing Sean from her. Emily has family issues she can't just let go of and Spencer is beginning to discover why her family keeps so many secrets. In the mean time -A has them all hanging on a string of hope controlling their every moves.

The story im going to talk about which was due a month ago is called "Underground to Canada". This book is about slaves which taken place a long time ago when slaves excisted. There's this group of slaves that were trapped in this slave area where people come and buy them. They had this plan of trying to escape. They used the North star as there compass. There plan turned out well untill one man died...


I really liked this stroy but it was sad for how the black humans were treated. It made me think of how they lived and were treated back then. Its a great story that i would read again and again. The ending of the book is the best when most of them escaped. :)


I recommend this book because im not the reader type. So no book can interest me, untill i read this one. I would read it again if i had a choice between another book, even though i dont know the other book choice. You guys must read this book, because its too awesome.

(This post was supposed to be complete in October, but I never got around to it.) In this novel, a fifth-grader by the name of Griffin Bing finds a rare, and valuable, Babe Ruth baseball card. But, however, when he exchanges the card with a dealer for $120 cash, he finds out that it was worth a million dollars. After gathering a team, the self-proclaimed "Man with the Plan" sets off on a dangerous mission to retrieve it. There are many obstacles in their way, however, from high-tech security systems to a seemingly vicious guard dog.

I was surprised that the setting was in a small town in the United States. For a story like this, I thought it would've taken place in a bigger city like New York or Chicago. I also sort of like the typical usage of action and comedy combined, though it may not be as evident in this story, compared to other books of this format.

I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes suspenseful and/or partially hilarious books. Also, if you read a lot of Gordon Korman books, this is also a great pick. Oh, and for the question I had about the novel, there is none, I'm sorry to say. And that concludes this blog post.

Diary of the wimpy kid by Michael Jbara

My story that I read two months ago was diary of the wimpy kid. It's about this boy that never really got anything his own way. He was unpopular he had this friend who was goofy. His older brother was the biggest jerk to him. They hated each others guys. So this book is mostly about this boy going through junior high school and thought it would be good but turned out to be trashy.


I thought this book was really good because lots of people go through this and it doesn't go to well for them. So it would be really good for someone to write a book about that. The book has alot of meaning to it which makes the book even better. 

I do recommend this book to people because I'm not the person that likes book. I'm the type o guy that watches story's about the book. But I decided to change that and this book was my first choice and it was a great beginning of starting to read again. 

The book i read last mouth was CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS AND THE BIG, BAD BATTLE OF THE BIONIC BOOGER BOY Part2:THE Revange of the ridculous ROBO-BOOGERS

               An adventure about captian underpants, with two boys called George and Harold. A student called Melvin and a teacher called Mr.Kruppy got their brains in each others body with the Combine-O-Tron 2000.  They built a time mashion so they can go back and get the mashion back. They hade to go back because the monsters destroyed it the first time. They got the Combine-O-Tron 2000 and swiched there brains back.  They also ended up dostroying the booger monsters.

HUNGER GAMES by:SUZANNE COLLINS

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a Dionysian novel written for young adults (YA). Even though the main audience targeted, the book has struck chords with parents as well and has been a best seller since it came out.

North America has been destroyed and is now run by the powerful Capital and is divided into 12 districts (district 13 has been destroyed due to a rebellion). In district 12 ace hunter Katniss Everdeen, a 16 year old girl, carves out a meager existence for herself, her younger sister Prim and their widowed mother. In order to keep the 12 districts aware of who runs the county, the Capital arranges a game to the death each year in an elaborate arena. Each district holds a drawing of one boy and one girl to go as tributes. When her sister is picked, Katniss exercises her option to volunteer for the games. Along with Katniss comes also Peeta, the baker’s son, who grew up with her.

Katniss and Peeta must fend for themselves against natural elements, the Gamemakers and the other contestants whose only option is to kill or be killed.

I’ll admit it, I read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins because my wife did and I didn't… we can’t have that now.

Can we?

I can certainly see why the book was such a hit. The novel struck many chords and many themes (teenage anguish, love, work, poverty and more), was an easy and quick read, as well as full of action.

Ms. Collins built a fantastical and believable world where the United States is no more and instead the country is now called Panem which is run from “The Capital” and divided into 12 districts. The story progresses quickly and fluently with well defined characters who have lame names. Don’t tell me that the baker’s son is named Peeta (Pita) by accident.
