Becoming a classy young lady in today's society can be very difficult. With true fashion slowly dissolving over time, it's hard to stay graceful and elegant with all these's poor style choices surrounding us. Jordan Christy demonstrates good qualities that any adolescent girl should have. She includes quotes from many respectable woman such as Cindy Crawford, Audrey Hepburn, Eleanor Roosevelt and even Jane Austen. For every chapter there is a new quote to start off the next topic and for one topic Christy shows us a quote from Audrey Hepburn stating "Let's face it, a nice creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people; it does for me." Christy uses this as an example that curves use to be desirable back in the 'Hepburn' days where girls didn't diet every single month and feel bad if they couldn't fit into a size 0 in jeans. Being perfect isn't the goal of this book, it's being chic without the grammar or style of Paris Hilton and still staying true to yourself.
I personally think if you're a girl or maybe even a guy that's into books that talk a lot about living classy and modest then this is the book for you! This book shows life experiences about the 80s bold colors and un-lady like manners. It's an education to a Vogue life!
