Divergent by Veronica Roth

The book I've read this month is called Divergent. It's set in the future where the world is no longer how it is now. Everyone is in one of five faction's, and when you're 16 you choose which one you want to be in for the rest of your life and if you don't pass initiation, or choose to leave you will become factionless and that is like being homeless.
My reaction to the faction the main character, Beatrice, chose was very surprised. I won't give away which one she decided on, but it ends up changing her life in the extreme. She finds love, strength, and so much more about herself!
As usual, I found that the ending was a little rushed but I think that is very common in books. A question I would ask about the book is what would it be like if our world was really like that? Also what faction I would choose!
I would strongly recommend this book as it was intriguing, surprising, and most importantly kept me up late on school nights because I just couldn't put it down! It's the best book I've read in a very long time. Lastly, within the book there is some great foreshadowing.
