Taken-by Norah McClintock
The book taken is about a girl who in her town there is a man kidnapping girls. One day when walking home, the girl takes a short cut through the field when someone comes from behind her and drugs her. Later, she wakes up in a cabin in the middle of the woods and manages to escape. When she gets out, there is nothing around, no roads. Just trees. now she has to try and survive in the woods and find her way back to civilization.
My reaction to this book was the main character and how smart and clever she was. When she broke free of the cabin, she remembered the things her grandfather had taught her last summer about survival in the woods. She knew how to use the sun to find her direction and survival techniques like collecting dew in the morning for water.
One questions I had a bout the book was how would the main character carry on through the woods alone with a very injured ankle. that was the only thing hat didn't seem very plausible but the rest was well written.
I would recondite this book to anybody who likes a fast pace book full of action and intrigue.
